I couldn't believe the umpiring last night, disgusted, Rioli ducked both times, Dawks player tackled and drops ball in goal square , play on and goal, numerous frees in Hawks forward 50. I'm sick of it. Pies get nothing every week. Afl is a joke.

No they didn't. If we'd have kicked straight we'd have won. Our own fault. I thought the umps were quite ok. Yeah Rioli's free wasn't there and there was probably one or two questionable ones for us too.
Some poor decisions and disposal cost us too. Poor young Maynard's turnover was a shocker which gifted them a goal, but excusable for a first gamer.

^ what he said. didn't think they were too bad and they certainly didn't cost us the game. what was noticeable - and generally a good thing - was the non-controlling ump picking up indiscretions missed by the controlling ump.

How many times did we tackle Hawthorn
and the attempted kick missed their foot.
This is a free every time but against the Hawks
it isn't!!!

So true that's what I was saying at the ground. If you are tackled and go to kick the ball and miss. That is dropping the ball. But not if tackled by a Collingwood player.

Yeah that was the one that was the stupidest decision of the night. Hawks player runs into an open goal at the punt road end in the third quarter, gets tackles, doesn't kick or handball it, ball spills out to another Hawks player who goals.

That umpire has to be dropped, if a player makes a mistake that costly he gets dropped.

That was clearly and obviously holding the ball.

The Rioli one is a strange one. For 120 years that was a free kick, couldn't bump a bloke in the head. For the last 6 weeks that is not a free kick, anyone who ducks and basically head butts the other player it's supposed to be play on.

The rule is stupid, players are now bumping players who have their head over the ball because they think they won't get a free against. Can't have that happening.

Yes. I saw Hodge drop two that missed his foot in the first quarter. One was in our forward fifty which should've given Pendles a set shot at goal.

Nevertheless the most damning stat for us is that we scored two goals nine in the third quarter. I thought we'd come along way this year with our kicking as our stats had indicated, but over the past two weeks the sloppy kicking has crept back into our game and I don't think it's a coincidence that it has occurred against quality opposition. It suggests to me that our kicking has improved but when we get put under the type of pressure that the good teams apply the cracks begin to appear again. This is where we need to improve to take the next step.

Blair…paid a free when it clearly wasn't.
Cloke…fend off to the face, free not paid for too high.

Yeah, we get nothing.
