If Greenwood is Ok - he should come in… but I suspect he is still not right
This is a finals game for the Pies so we need some more experience out there…
OUT: - Moore and Maynard (had a taste and now know more of what is required)
IN: - Grundy, Goldy _________________ Love us or Hate us... we are Collingwood - you can't ignore the Mighty Magpies!!! |

We outplayed Hawthorn across every area, and only lost because of our poor conversion, yet you think team selection was the problem. Really? _________________ kill for collingwood! |

Didn't lose the game at the selection table. We beat the Hawks in all the key measures but couldn't convert our chances (2.9 in the third qtr) and letting them kick 12 goals from turnovers were the real reasons. _________________ Is there any place you would rather be, than with me at the MCG? |

^^^^ THIS ^^^^
Bad kicking (and bad field kicking) is bad football.
We had them on toast at times during the game but just couldn't or didn't convert our chances. It was a "how to do" lesson in wasting numerous bloody opportunities. We need to learn from these past two types of losses and put them in the "never to repeat mistakes" basket. _________________ Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. Our kicking has improved this year. So I wonder if last Friday was just an off night or if the cracks reappeared because we were put under the type of pressure that a quality team can apply? |

Good question. My answer is a bit of both. The pressure we put BOTH Freo and the Hawks under would have won us games against most of the other teams I reckon. However to win against the real top sides, every single chance must be taken and every single opportunity must be grabbed. We failed to do this in both games and payed the consequences.
That is why I think these two games must be learnt from and form the "never to be repeated" section in their football files.
All this forms part of the team development model. That is why we will be a much better and more experienced team over the next few seasons. _________________ Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. After two very close run things v the top two sides, i reckon we will be in a filthy mood, and will hit the Powerfade with eveything but the kitchen sink. The Powrfade cannot make the finals, so are just playing out the season, we play very well over there, usually, im expecting us to hit back hard for a pretty comfortable win actually. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

I think we'll smash Port and dispose of the Wee Girls comfortably, given we can squeeze them with pressure on the smaller ground at Etihad. _________________ The only stat that matters is whether you win or lose. |

http://www.afl.com.au/news/2015-07-06/power-pledges-to-get-the-job-done-in-walshs-honour
PORT Adelaide vice-captain Brad Ebert says a commitment to 'get the job done' against Collingwood on Thursday night is the best tribute the players could pay to Phil Walsh.
Ebert was a 17-year-old when he arrived at West Coast ahead of the 2008 season and was joined a year later by Walsh, who moved from the Power as an assistant coach.
The pair was reunited last year at Alberton when Walsh replaced Alan Richardson as an assistant coach.
Ebert said Walsh's maverick outlook shaped the way he played the game.
Port takes on the Magpies at Adelaide Oval this week and although the Power haven't yet decided how to pay homage to Walsh, Ebert believed a brilliant performance would be an apt tribute. |

Collingwood should also fire right up and be fully committed to honour the life of a former player. That should even this emotional by play aspect out. _________________ Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. That shows why this is a MASSIVE Danger Game as they will put in 110% to beat us for Walsh _________________ I am Da Man |

Why shouldn't Collingwood also put in 110% to beat the Power DTM? After all, Walsh actually played for us, NOT the Power.
There is no logic to have one team fire up more than the other team regarding Walsh. If at all, Collingwood should be the one favoured with this stuff. _________________ Don't confuse your current path with your final destination.
