I'm hopeful that once the siren sounds to start the game the players and coaches can put behind the shock and sadness for a few hours at least and put on an enthralling display of football.

I was so excited by this game last night after the inclusions of Moore and Maynard and it's unfortunate that the excitement that they would have both felt debuting for Collingwood will now be diminished.

Still once the ball gets bounced for the first time tonight I wont be able to help myself and will get emotionally involved in the contest and hoping for a Collingwood win just like always.

Go pies!

Please God, just let us kill the mongrels!

I'm very curious to see what Buckley has learned in all our losses under his reign dating back to 2012...

Probably the same thing we all learnt, they had a better list than us. But apart from that we can't allow Hodge to be the loose man in the backline. We simply can't. Also not sure who we should use Varcoe's pace on Smith or Hill?

That gives me a lot of hope and confidence Dave. I said three days ago that we can win this by 6 - 16 points.

Can't let them jump us, play like we did last week and we're a chance, if we slack off we'll get slaughtered.

Are goals kicked in the last 5 minutes of a quarter worth more than 6 points ?

Yes, must go to one of their line-breakers for sure.
But who to play on Rioli?

Yes please!

I'm sick to death of Isaac Smith always roaming free and doing what he wants when he plays us.

Absolutely chief - because they are tactically preventable when the ball is in your D50 once the clock runs down to junk-time.
Had we kept the ball dead for another 15-20 seconds late in the 2nd and 3rd quarters last week, thus removing 12 points from Anchor
Wankers scoreline, the Pies win.
Which is why Buckley, myself and others go beetroot red and off their collective f*cking dials when those instances occur deep into junk time.

Dyso

Okay, might rob us of some run from defence if Williams is drawn deep into their F50, but probably the only player quick enough to contain Rioli.

Hawthorn have posted
Quote:
Tonight's game against Collingwood will go ahead. As a sign of respect, we will wear black armbands, observe a minute's silence and not run through a banner.

One would think we would do the same.
