ROUND 14: Hawthorn (most likely)
In breaking news today, Coach Tannin has been called away for urgent family duties (he says) and has locked himself in his room with a small tactical nuclear weapon, refusing to talk to anyone or come out for any reason. On being asked, reminded, nagged, hectored, and just generally shouted at about his obligation to select a team to lose to Hawthorn same as usual this week, he point-blank refused.
Finally, in the early hours of the morning, police negotiators succeeded in persuading him to exchange a promise to select a side tonight in return for blankets, a can opener and a family size capricciosa with anchovies. On being asked for the team sheet, he screamed through the keyhole, Who cares who bloody plays? Same as bloody last week, OK? Now bugger off back to the station and fill out some forms or something or I'll restart the countdown.

Thought i mighta got a game owing to my clean score 7-0 in the Grades chess tournament, confidence now sky high, just goes to show, this coach cannot be bought for love or money.

Im feeling exceptionally strong this week coach. I'll more than hold my own, and Rudies duties. (sheesh how long do I have to cover that dudes inadequecies) ...ie connecting the foot to the ball when kicking...punching himself in the face whilst attempting to handball, feining chest pains when the ball gets within 5 metres of him, clutching the hammy whenever a chase is on and giving up in the first 3 sec. Trash talking all the players..and sometimes the oppositions, wearing 1920's balloon shorts just so he can bring out his own stash of snacks, namely 4 polly waffles (strategically placed), numerous steamed dimmys (ditto) and the odd Barney Banana, ok, scratch that last one...he does regulary.
