BenKen racked up the possies - to me it looked like a 40 plus day.
He was in and under all day long.
His only problem is that he doesn't always use the ball well or to maximum effect.
Sinclair was good, fast and clean with the ball.
The 4 AFL players that seemed ordinary on the day were
PK, Gault, Abbott and Young.
PK certainly has an impact on the scoreboard but that is about it.
Armstrong started well but was hardly sighted in the last half.
Grundy and BenKen were best for us.
On today's effort - Marsh, Grundy, Berg and Marsh are ready for AFL.

armstrong's knee or leg looked to be troubling him hence the fade out.

My Thoughts/Report:

Grundy played way he should for 3 Qtrs. Dominated and looked a class above Hickey and Holmes. Was good around the Ground and had quite a Few Touches and Marks. Though a Few Handballs Missed there Mark

Abbott kicking is Elite. Hits Targets and Accurate shot on Goal. Very Good Game

Dwyer was again close to BOG and very good VFL Player

Scharanberg did not get much as he has but used very well. He is like
Pendles in Traffic - Seems to have Extra Time and Uses it Well

Marsh did great job on McCartin but Kicking

Cox had his Best Game. Seemed to get more of the Ball and had some Great Taps

Mantiet had a Sold Game. Got Involved in last Qtr

Gault Tried Hard but did not have Much Impact

PK typcai Game kicks a Few Goals but does not do much accept that

Seedsman was good without being Great. Did Kick a Very Long Goal in 2nd Qtr?

Young Did nothing Special

Great 1st Half but Pathetic 2nd Half

Dave in the third quarter it was raining almost the whole time. We matched them but missed some simple set shots. In the huddle the coaches told the players Sandy's best quarters are their last so expect them to come hard. We withstood that challenge and fought back. Tapping called the players into a circle on the ground afterwards because he was proud we withstood that challenge.

I don’t go out on the Ground so I did not hear that.

Agree. Was great that we kept our heads and Hanged On at the End. Though we should not let it get that close after having a Big Lead at Half Time

Great call MagpieBat Smile

Grundy and Kennedy were the standouts today! I'd expect Grundy to play against Port on Thursday especially after being rested in the final quarter. Kennedy was good but he hasn't been able to break into the senior side so I'm doubtful he'll make the senior side.

Stoked that Scharenberg is going from strength to strength and played one of his best matches in the reserves. He can't be too far away now especially since Moore and Maynard got selected recently. Marsh is another one that would be making a claim for a senior spot as well soon but I think he's just not there yet but he's not far off though.

A great first half capped off a deserving win in the end despite the scare Sandringham provided to us in the final quarter.

Perthmagpie is correct on what was said at 3 quarter time by the coaching staff.
I was there at the huddle.

Thanks again MB for the call (or is that the type??)

The last quarter sounds impressive with Grundy off and Armstrong and Abbot both not right
