apparently goldy left training early. not sure whether it was a part of his program or injury related.

He's probably the closest like for like but Maynard would be well in the mix as well.

Had his best VFL game for the season last weekend and all indicators are he wont be physically intimidated by the hawks in his first match.

I'd be happy with either.

Yeh you would think Marsh would be the likely replacement.

Happy to see Marsh debut. Think his pace and marking elevate him above Maynard at this stage although that is tempered by Maynard's more consistent ball use.

the only thing you know about closing speed is getting to the bottle-o before it shuts.

So they're just going to be "ultra cautious" with Ben?

Which means missing 2-3 weeks with a further month of reserves to build his match fitness up again before he gets another relatively minor knick or knock to the calf which they'll be ultra cautious with again etc...rinse, repeat.

The season is over half finished already so they may as well admit that his calf is still faarked and he isn't playing senior football this year either.

2 years gone of his 4 year deal and we've had nothing in return for it. Long term contracts simply aren't worth it.

^Not sure about that. He may do a groin or hammy during foreplay, and therefore be unable to deliver the load.

Maynard also is equal to Marsh in pace.
