Cape Fear was a very good remake while the original is very good as well.

Need to consult google to recall more.

Now you're going to bad places where the remake was actually better than the original, and the original was damn good.

They both scared the crap out of me!

^ Fair enough.

I haven't seen it, but a lot of people seem to rate the Scarface remake from the '80s

I think you'd find an even greater number (myself included) who had no idea it was a remake. It's known as one of the great films of the genre.

The original is very old – early 1930s, I think – but was quite famous and acclaimed in its day too. Nonetheless, I guess this is one case where the remake has become even more acclaimed.

Funny fat chick

Non-humorous overweight American woman that trades off her body shape to make people "laugh", and is touted as the main star of the new "Ghostbusters".
No thanks.

Yes the original Scarface movie was released in 1932, but the 1983 edition with Al Pacino was fantastic! One of my favourite movies.

"Non-humorous" is in the eye of the beholder, but good on her for making it in an industry that so often tells women they are worthless unless they have a conventionally sexually attractive body shape.

I don't have much opinion of her as an actor and have little interest in a Ghostbusters remake, but I'm glad they picked her over some talentless supermodel.

Assuming talent levels are equal, give me a supermodel over a female sumo every time. In a movie that is, if they're both shit actors at least you get some eye candy.

No, if you watched anything with her in it, you'd change your mind about that. I guaran-damn-tee it!! Very Happy
She IS talentless.
She's the - "I've fallen and I'm too fat to get up quickly" chick. It's not funny.

I agree with what you say about it being subjective as a general rule, but not with her....... Wink

I would've preferred them to have picked nobody and left it be. Sigh, not to be......

Yeah, fair enough. Sad if those are the only roles she gets.

She was in Bridesmaids, wasn't she?

Mmmm, yeah I think so......

Nah, I'd disagree that it's sad - she's made a fortune with that lack of talent!! They're the only roles she is actually capable of!! Laughing

I like her, she's harmless

She's actually lost 45 kg, and the movie heat, with the ever loveable Sandra bullock isn't a bad romp!

Melissa McCarthy is great, loved her in Heat, Bridesmaids, and others.

I am not looking forward to the remake of The Crow that is going to be done, Brandon Lee was great in the original and I don't think they could ever regain the magic from that.
