Who was it that said that nobody ever went broke under-estimating the intelligence of the American public (or something)?

Not sure he'd be able to cope with the backlash if that happened. Which is a shame, because if it wasn't for America's stupid non-preferential voting system, there'd be no reason for him not to.

I was thinking the same. Nothing like a bit of domestic terrorism to spread fear; and fear, as we all know, is an extremely effective breeding ground for hate. Which is precisely the purpose of such an attack to begin with. Politicians like Trump and ISIS-supporting extremists thrive on each other's existence.

Looks like I might yet be right about something, at any rate – Trump is quite possibly going to get smashed. Smile

And now he's sacked his campaign manager!

I stated at the outset there was a lot of water to pass under the bridge, a lot of time. On prima facie evidence he is going to lose. Trump is coming across as increasingly shrill (when I thought he already topped the shrill scales). The republicans stand divided.

Then there are the crazy libertarians Laughing

Polls this early don't mean much. Reagan was behind Jimmy Carter in almost every poll leading up to the election.

The Libertarian Party is a bit of a joke. Ayn Rand despised them and even in that video the description from one of the candidates "Pot smoking republicans" wasn't far off the mark.

Donald Trump has just made a game changing speech. Here it is in full.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xUW2-MUonbo

Slate described the speech as 'Terrifyingly Effective'

Enjoy Donald J Trump at his best.
