Republican Party is uniting behind Trump now, he's been named the Presumptive Nominee.
https://twitter.com/Reince/status/727665447684820992
That's the tweet from the Republican National Committee Chairman. Donald Trump was really nice, gracious and humble towards Ted Cruz and he sounded completely presidential.
So Trump can now pivot towards the General Election while Hillary has to shake off this tenacious old Socialist who was meant to be a cardboard cutout to run against.
In Trumps victory speech he said "I won with women *pause* I LOVE winning with women". |

That was really strange, I know their campaigns have been fairly closely linked but I don't know who thought that was a good idea. |

Wow, when I'd last seen the results he was way behind, now it's like 300 votes ahead.
A picture was released of Ted Cruz's father with Lee Harvey Oswald and apparently the Cruz family moved to Canada straight after the Kennedy assassination. Cruz was neck and neck in polls with Trump in Indiana 2 weeks ago, now loses by 20-25 points. |
Yeah, WTF was that all about?

I haven't seen enough about it, I've been a bit of a mess for a over a week, kind of just shaking that off over the last few days and rejoining the living. Trump becoming nominee has helped continue my climb out of the pit I was in.
Vox can get £$%$ed though. |

The point of the article is that Trump took a laughably baseless allegation (that Cruz's dad was involved in the Kennedy assassination, based on a single old photo of a guy who almost certainly isn't him and would mean nothing if it was) and stated it as fact. A sucker is born every day, as the saying goes, and one was certainly born the day Trump came into the world. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

Gullible or playing to his crowd? Trump doesn't have to believe it, he just has to know that some potential Cruz voters would believe it. People have been calling this man a buffoon from the start as he made one politically savvy move after another. He was meant to have a 35% ceiling and as candidates dropped their support would shift to other non-Trump candidates but he's now pulling in 60%+.
I wouldn't think any move Trump makes is due to bumbling stupidity; nobody has that much luck. He's playing a new game, like Obama with the Internet and Kennedy with TV, Trump is playing the Social Media game and anyone who's spent time on Facebook or Twitter knows that well researched fact doesn't play as well as a witty one line meme. |

If he's not gullible then he's a compulsive liar. That may not be an uncommon trait in a politician, but it's hardly an admirable one. Personally, I would have thought a candidate for the most powerful position in the world would have better things to do than give airtime to ridiculous tabloid smears. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

LOL, and to think you would have been prepared to put up more or give odds at one point, you were so confident Trump would burn out.
Keep the $10 for now, I'll wait for the $20 when we have President Donald. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Source? Even if that's true, and forgive me for finding that unlikely, it was Trump who took it, ran with it and ended up looking like an imbecile.
Edit: never mind, seems like just another instance of Trump "playing to his crowd", as you call it:
http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2015/sep/23/donald-trump/hillary-clinton-obama-birther-fact-check/
(One last comment on the Cruz thing: ironic that Trump was going after Cruz's dad for maybe kind of looking like a random Cuban guy who handed out pro-Fidel Castro fliers with Lee Harvey Oswald one time when there's far more compelling evidence that Trump's Dad was actually a member of the KKK. Not that either should make a jot of difference to the legitimacy or otherwise of their sons' presidential runs, but if Trump thinks dads are fair game then he's kind of left himself wide open on that one.) _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

Here's some payback for all the Guardian and HuffPo links. Enjoy yourself a big serving of Breitbart.

There's a lot of conjecture in there and frankly I don't feel any the wiser for having read it all. But if this is what Trump calls "all in"...
https://youtu.be/LHFREDHB-nQ
then what's this?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Blckpwk1voQ
It's pretty obvious that Trump has a tenuous relationship with the truth and just says stuff off the top of his head. I kind of feel sorry for the Breitbart reporters and everyone else who has to scurry around looking for a trail of evidence just because Donald's mouth and brain weren't working in sync. Let me know when they write an article 'proving' that Muslims in New Jersey openly celebrated 9/11 or that the Mexican government is deliberately sending illegal immigrants over the border. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

Sounds like Hillary pussyfooting around and Trump going *bang*.
Which is why he's the nominee before she is. |
