With 3% of the vote counted there are already news outlets calling New Hampshire for Trump.

Kasich is surging, he's in 2nd place with Bush 3rd. There was one small town that voted early and apparently Kasich went and visited every one of the people who ended up voting for him. Laughing

Huffington Post has been totally triggered. They're just Tumblr: The News site, but this is the leftist meltdown I've been waiting for.

Yep, only 16% of the vote counted so far, but the results are clearly Trump 1st, Kasich 2nd, with not much between Bush, Cruz and Rubio (3rd, 4th and 5th respectively, all sitting at around 10-11%). A huge blow for Rubio's campaign, one would think. Christie at 7-8% will probably stick around, but I expect Carson and Fiorina will be going home soon. Jim Gilmore, on 0.1%, and currently trailing three candidates who have already dropped out and two who aren't even running in any other state, seems to be in this to the death. Laughing

Sanders, as predicted, has won easily over Clinton – he's up about 58% to 40% at this stage. A good result for him.

People were turning up at Rubio events dressed as robots. Ridicule is death for a politician.

Sanders got the big win he needed and should pick up some momentum, Hillary is seriously on the nose. Young female voters are breaking 2/3 for Sanders and all the old battleaxes are coming out and calling them traitors or bimbos because they're not voting for a woman.

Kasich is the YUGE surprise, I know he threw everything at NH, but even as an avid follower of all this I have no idea who he is. I'd expect a ton of google searches around the USA tomorrow for Kasich Laughing

Even with Trump's easy victory here (double the percentage of the next candidate), he still has a lot to fear from the GOP establishment once its candidates get winnowed down. In New Hampshire, at least, the votes for Trump and Cruz are about on par with the votes for Bush, Rubio, Kasich and Christie.

Edit: Kasich is one of the lower profile candidates, but he's more or less staked his position on being the Republican moderate who isn't Bush. The New York Times nominated him as their choice for the Republican candidacy a couple of weeks ago:

Hillary firm at $1.91

Specking for Trump has seen him trimmed from 8/1 into 5/1.
A lot of bets for Trump the last 48hrs.

Sanders is up nearly 20 percentage points over Clinton now (19.5%). I'd say that's a pretty decisive result if those numbers hold.

Edit: now 59% to Clinton's 38.2%. 40% of the vote counted.

Yep but Clinton was never going to win NH.
Now it gets very interesting working towards super Tuesday. My money is still on Clinton to beat Sanders when it really counts.

I really love this!! I want Trump to be the Republican nominee and this hopefully helps him get that. A Trump versus Clinton Presidency battle is going to be a bloody hoot!! Bring it on!

GO TRUMP!!!! Sick 'em mate!!

^One sure bet is that the freak show on offer bodes poorly for the country.

She was never going to win, but people were talking up a single digit loss as a good result for her. I'm not sure what a 20% plus loss means, but I'm guessing it's a lot worse than they were hoping for.

Who's your least-worst candidate, PTID? Any interest in a Bloomberg independent candidacy?

^Colonel Sanders, then daylight, then some alternative universe run by apes.

Clinton is a hawkish imperialist, which in addition to destructive neocon-like meddling also implies elitist collusion (or vice-versa, as it's a chicken-egg problem).

Watching the US right on stage is like watching a post-apocalypse game show.

The problem is, one suspects the best they can hope to elect is Clinton, and she will only shuffle the elite card deck about.

The hope is that Trump's presence exposes the farce to such an extent that the electorate is bamboozled and accidentally takes Sanders all the way.

Unfortunately, Trump's presence is more likely to lead people to go conservative and institutional, and that means Clinton.
