So after all the lobbying, petitions, rending of hair, gnashing of teeth and associated bullshit, in the first US election with more than 1 "faithless elector" since 1872, only 2 turned against Trump and 4 turned against Hillary.

They'll take back the US, soon enough. As the disaffected voters come to realise that they've just replaced a pseudo-elite with the actual elite, rather than the iconoclast they imagined they were electing, the tide will change quickly.

Hard to believe that a country that lived through the cold war and the McCarthy era would vote in a nominee seemingly so enamored with the Russian President and not call him out on it.

Despite the security agencies of the United States believing Russia interfered with the democratic process of the election Trump is still seemingly not wavering in his support for Putin.

Hardly surprising but it's going to be real interesting on how he approaches relations with Russia in the near future.

Personally I think Putin has played him for a fool and has now backed him into a corner.

Crikey with Melania being born in Slovenia and Ivanna the Czech Republic you have to hope the Donald hasn't fallen into a FSB/SVR (formerly KGB) honey trap.

In people are interested here is a Frontline doco about Putin which shows why plenty of people wouldn't be to enamored about Trumps current state of mind regarding future Russian relations.

When Joseph McCarthy drove the Bolshies out of America, some of them turned up in England, where they persuaded Lord Lew Grade to fund a little TV program called Robin Hood, probably the most subversive TV program of all time. While jolly Ealing comedies like The Lavender Hill Mob showed that if you robbed the establishment, you ended up in the slammer, Robin Hood showed that you could rob from the rich and get away with it!

Robin Hood was followed by the darker William Tell. Unlike Robin who fought the sheriff's men with swords in fair fights, William was an assassin who shot the Austrians from long range with his crossbow. Was lee Harvey Oswald influenced by William, or the d%ckhead who shot Martin Luther King? Was Jerry Adams and his friends?

America and England's 14 year old temper tantrums will have long term consequences for everybody, which we just don't know yet. If lefties leave the USA and Britain for greener pastures they will take their ideas with them, just like those who created Robin Hood

Meanwhile Trump Junior (Duerte) is waging war on drug dealers in the Philippines, by targeted killings. The consequence is 7000 people dead, including several small children caught in the crossfire. Funny thing about populist fascists, they all want to be Lee Kuan Yew, but they all end up like you know who...

No.

They just tried to influence the outcome in favour of there man Trump.

The people still voted with free will.
