Great stuff. Well deserved.

I thought it was his best game for us so far (put in the post game comments). I was very impressed. Just needs some steroids over the off season Wink

So happy for him, he's been through a lot.

From glandular fever to a heap of injuries and who could forget that crippling fear of bananas that caused trouble early on.

WELL DONE BROOMY. Very Happy

Glad to see the kid get some recognition, won't do his confidence any harm at all.

Good stuff, the kid is starting to put some games together and show what he has.

Nice article in the Hun.

TIM Broomhead sat at home frustrated as Collingwood upset Dayne Beams Brisbane Lions in Round 1 this year.

The young midfielder - who was nominated for the Rising Star - had worked his way into coach Nathan Buckleys side on the back of an impressive pre-season only to be struck down by food poisoning.

It was the fourth consecutive year a pre-season ailment had left Broomhead wondering why me?

Still don't think we've seen anywhere near what this kid could be capable of.

Surprised he was still eligible.

Well done to him but needs to build on that performance from here.

Congrats to Broomy. Well deserved.

Surely though, Oxley should have received a nomination by now?

Well deserved.
Clearly more comfortable on the outside, but starting to show more composure and slick hands in traffic now as well .

Couldn't agree more, remains the classiest kid I've seen at the club at VFL level since Pendles first started.

He won't get one as they all think he's 34

Oxley is 22. You need to be under 21 on Jan 1
