Ox reads the play beautifully which means he's ideally suited to playing down back and taking intercept marks.
Watching and anticipating the flight of the ball as a backman and doing the same as a forward are amazingly different. I'm quite happy with him down back, feeding the forwards for now. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Nothing like Gunston. Him and Bruest are soft cocks who like to sit off the balll or run into space Once Roughhead is gone they won't be as good. . This kid is a Maxwell type who doesn't care where the ball is as long as he has a piece of it. _________________ Annoying opposition supporters since 1967. |

He reminds me of Adam Oxley! Great get Dekka!!!
ps: did kick 7 goals in a QAFL game in front of Hine! Going forward as a swingman, shock tactic couldn't hurt if Cloke, White and Elliot are down _________________ I love the Pies, hate Carlscum |

Laugh if you like, but ball in hand, he reminds me of Jimmy Clement. There is something about the way he plays on and delivers the pill forward long and low and accurate that often reminds me of Clement. Oxley's curious ability to so often have just enough space around him to let him play on is Clement-like too. (Other players with this time-and-space ability include Shane Morwood and, of course, the master Pendlebury, who is unique in being able to do it from the middle of a crowded scrum.) _________________ Let's eat Grandma. Commas save lives! |

A non-KPP utility is a valuable thing, reminds me more of Hodge than he does of Gunstun _________________ "The last thing he expected WAS THE FIRST THING HE GOT!!!!!"

I just wish he could grow a few muscles. He's got all the skills and footy smarts, but lacks a bit of strength imo. |

I like him when he gets a run at the ball from behind the play, he has a good leap, good hands, and seems to read it well in flight.
I'm not sure I want to see him isolated in too many one-on-ones. _________________ "I am a great sage, equal of heaven.

^ He seems to have the knack of using his frail-looking body in the one-on-one marking duels to protect the ball drop as if he was a much heavier man. Not quite sure how he does it but he does.
BTW, he had a serious illness a year or two back, glandular fever I think it was, and that sets your body building back by about 18 months. _________________ Let's eat Grandma. Commas save lives! |

^Ground level one-on-ones as well.
Not trying to knock the guy at all, just making an observation -
I don't think his one-on-one body positioning and agility in a contest is as good as his other attributes.
If allowed to play to his strengths, I think he'll be a very good player for us.
If he gets worked out a bit and isolated by opposition teams, he'll have something to work on if he wants to hold a spot in the side. _________________ "I am a great sage, equal of heaven.
