not bad again today. I would argue he is starting to get some consistency. not your pack mark guy, but we have one of those already in Elliot, and I hear Cloke is also fairly good at that.

Jesse White snagged a couple today that very few players in the comp could kick...

He needs to keep doing it, cause Bull Abbott put his hand up in the magoos again today.

I used to be undecided, but now I'm not so sure.

I'd like to see Abbott join him in the forward line, not replace him.

Unless I'm mistaken, Abbott is a rookie so can't play seniors, since we've already promoted Frost for this year.

Like Leigh Brown you may get 2 or 3 good years from him.
And, these are the years when the sun shines!

Well done on 3 goals in his 100th game. That last goal was a beauty, but the long snap was even better.

This.

Having said that, his game was just okay-ish in the first half, then he exploded in the third, before fizzling out in the last. Still not quite able to run full VFL games out, but 6 goals is 6 goals...

Well he had an interrupted preseason, so maybe he's an option once he builds his tank up.

Isn't Abbott like 186cm? Replacing White is unrealistic and playing at all not far from it, not too many marking mediums about. Does he have the ability to play some midfield?

Correct. Abbott is competing for Fasolo's spot. but since we promoted Frost there's no other spot for him to be promoted from the rookie list. He might have to wait until next year to get a senior game. Still, there's a lot to like about this raging bull. Cool

White is statistically having his best season of AFL, averaging 12 disposals, 1.6 goals per game and 4.9 marks.

Did a great job today playing 2nd tall changing ruck, teamed well with both Cloke and Witts.

As the commentators said today, he's not a body player, put the ball in front of him and let him use his wheels.

Abbott is not in any way a replacement for White unless we play 2 ruckmen in Witts and Grundy. Even then he's not a big bloke at 186 cm, basically the same height as Swanny which means he's shorter than Crisp, Pendles, Seedsman, Langdon, Young etc etc.

Brown had only one good year. Luckily for us, it coincided with our flag year.

Has been building this year… I think I see the positives where others see the negatives - yin to yang i guess… but he had a very good game…

He has more aggression this year and it starting to come together - his best is yet to come that is for sure and he has a hinge upside does our Jane/Jessica!
