On Sunday I saw a football match on TV. It was the European Cup Final, and the team in red and blue overwhelmed the team in black and white. I was a bit worried as I saw it as bad omen but our team in black and white turned the tables.
Interestingly, Juventus has lost seven European Championship finals. So in spite of all their success, they are a black and white team, and know sorrow. Welcome Juventus, you are one of us. |

Wow! Truth is truly stranger than fiction!
Even if you threw Dawes and Reid back into the selected line ups, I don't think it would changes those statistics too drastically. _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

Didn't think Harry O Handball offered much yesterday. Looked jittery and indecisive for the majority of the game. Put that down to pressure and his inability to cope with it. |

Interesting that we were actually the younger side...
I remember hearing Bruce make a comment about the fact that Melbourne have a really young side as some kind of excuse... then he corrected and said that Collingwood is also pretty young and he would have to check that.
Interesting how it is often assumed we have the older / more experienced team... as opposed to Melbourne just being crap.
Also, Swan is totally f*&^ing our age average. |

Maybe Harry O'Brainfade heard our blokes calling Seedsman "Les" again, and cracked the sads? _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

An interesting observation at the footy on Monday. I see two blokes in Essendon jumpers watching the game near me.
I say : Good to see you have spent your two public holidays watching the pies win?
Response: they have nothing They leave with the Dees fans looking sullen! _________________ " Ohhh Banksy and out comes the Note Book".

Been a common observation over the last couple of seasons that the Pies are playing "the young <insert side>" despite the fact we've generally got the younger average age and we're playing 10 or more <50 gamers. Used to annoy the piss out of me but now it's just part of the blah blah blah that is easy to ignore. |

Yup. If only you could set the TV to mute out certain catch phrases and cliches... Actually there would be very little left (looking at you BT). |

Our midfield needs his talent, experience and hardness if we're ever to compete with the top rung by next season.
Interesting to see how Treloar goes next week in his audition. |
Does it need to be by next season? Dangerfield would be a handy addition to any team, but it does depend on the price. |
Its a pointless exercise in wishful thinking. Geelong have had him stitched up for ages. _________________ We've all heard that a million monkeys banging on a million typewriters will eventually reproduce the entire works of Shakespeare. Now, thanks to the Internet, we know this is not true. |
