Fantastic effort to turn it around in the 2nd half. North kicked themselves out of the game. Great win but will get found out by the better teams if we serve up what we did that first half.

Momentum is a big thing in footy games. We rode it and most sides will. But to come back from being down in a game like that takes character and we showed bucket loads of it. This is a win that we will draw on through the rest of the year.

I think Elliott and quite a few others had more to do with our win than Blair.

But whatever floats your boat.

I'll take Kennedy.

Incredible match of momentum swings. Great third quarter.

Billy Elliott was huge. I was wrong about Swan. When the rain came he took over.

Lots to work on and improve, but a win to give the boys the confidence they need. Well done Bucks.

man, the game day thread is going to be fascinating reading. a few of you probably need to hang your head in shame.

LOL.

Guilty as charged but humble pie never tasted so sweet. After writing off Blair he puts in a sensational second half and kicks the clincher.

I think I wrote we can't kick, run or handpass but by Christ we can scrap.

I couldn't be prouder of the mighty Magpies and the second half efforts of Pendles, Swanny, Frosty and Crispy were just superb.

And just quietly Jamie Elliott is an absolute gun.

You bloody rippers!!!!

Like it or lump it. He and browm did important things to get us over the line.

So maybe lump it.

Great win in the end but don't fool yourself that the 3rd quarter said more about the team than that ordinary first half.

The truth is somewhere in between and we had lady luck on our side in the end.

We have much work to do.

I agree that we got a bit lucky. The perfect link up play and ball movement isn't there yet. The endeavour and the system is though and that's all I ask for at this stage. We're not as good as the Roos and they showed us up for pace and execution early. With hard work we were able to bring that back and with some good fortune were able to put plenty on the scoreboard.

Our games against top 8 teams shows that we're not there yet. In each one we've been blown out of the water early, promisingly we've fought on for the four quarters, and this time we were able to spring a win.

Pure G&D in the last, to get back on top after they headed us with 4 goals straight.

Excellent win.

Exactly. Fasolo's work to rove one touch (something Blair struggles to do), shake a tackle and put it on the boot into blairs lap was what set up the sealer blair ended up kicking.

That's the notable thing this year. Inconsistency aside we have been running out 4 qtrs better than the past 2 years IMO

Great win obviously, may be our best for the season and was for quite sometime but still that first half was us at our worst and the second half was one of great effort that we want to see more of. North, thankfully probably came out in the 3rd thinking they had us covered and they got what that attitude demands, a good old fashioned spanking. Will be watching that 2nd half a couple more times during the week i reckon. Thanks Pies for a solid win against an above average team. Smile

10 goals in a row!!! When was the last time we did that? Maybe that game in 2011 against the Crows at Etihad?
