Go back, but take a gun, a knife and a wheelbarrow.

Roast beef on the menu. Wink

Awesome 12k interval run in the bush last night.
Steered well clear of the cow zone Smile

It'll be 2 rest days then a slow 5 or 6k soft sand run on Saturday before competing in tbe Joondalup half marathon on Sunday. A forecast minimum of 10 degrees with light winds & showers could see me beat my PB of 1:40:41... would love to break the 100 minutes.

An hour and a half until start time.
I had a few yesterday, 4 x JD & Dry cans and at least 10 beers. Feeling pretty average this morning.
One piece of toast and vegemite and a coffee and I'm just about to head off. Will be very surprised if I beat 1:50 the way I'm feeling right now. Got a slight twinge in the left calf, hope that can stick out the 21.1k's.

I'll let you know how it went in a few hours. Then it's off to Boobiaco to watch the boys towel up these cocky clowns.

Unfaniken believable!

Was absolutely smashing it, my fastest k was my 18th, started picking up the pace at the 14th when I realised the magical 100 minute half was within reach. Took some water at a water station with 2.5k to go.... down hill slope and just gota run 4:40's for the last section and I'll do it.

Ping, right groin goes, devastated, must be Buckleys fault, Wink.
Anyway, muttering obscenities as I dawdle to the finish line, I realise I missed it.

Was my 3rd best half Marathon time (done 30 odd) so I'm sorta happy.

Got a massage and some stretching straight after, I've popped 2 valium and had a single dose of medicinal Marijuana, it's feeling better. (yes TP, I've hydrated, had a steak, egg & pork strip before I start drinking Wink )

I'm off to the game now, via a couple of pubs. Go PIES!

Rested until yesterday, then did an easy 5k soft sand run on the beach. Didn't feel 100%, but not too far off.
Back at work now, had an anti-inflammatory this morning and I'll test it out on the track after work. Hoping to get in 10-12k.
This will be my last swing before having 5 weeks at home (gota look after the missus after her op). Plan is to get in some really good training and eating to hopefully be at my peak in 8 weeks time. *^%*%^, it's gone so quick!

Plan is to do the HBF run for a reason half later this month and give that PB another nudge.

Cooler weather and running with a headlamp on this week should make for some interesting journeys, will keep you posted.

Cheers

If I've missed it sorry, not sure what the op is but hope everything goes well, and she's lucky to have you. Cheers

Just had one four weeks ago, and while I haven't fully recovered yet I'm well on the way. It's great you'll be around for her. Best wishes.

The injury has come good, although I haven't fully stretched out yet, won't until later in the week.

2 AFDs to go with the 11.5k & 12.5k I've done since being back on site.
How quickly the weather changes. Just over a month ago was running in 38+ every night. Last night I had long leg skins, a t-shirt under my tank top and a head lamp on. There was a strong cold southerly blowing.
We go from highs nudging 50 in summer to lows below zero out here over the year. I think i prefer the heat..... but not the flies that come with it!

Probably punch out 15k tonight. Looking forward to this next half. 100 minutes, here i come Smile
