My point is that if our club wasn't so racist and we embraced indigenous talent more than just a token player or two, we'd have a premiership to win rate better than Hawthorn. |
Are you saying our Club is racist? Wow that's a beauty ! I really don't think we are a racist Club at all. What proof do you have?

Many of Hawthorn's premiership are attributed to the quality of players they got through their recruiting zones.
How many of their indigenious players can you name who played up to 1991? They had nine flags by then |

look at the bloozers they had plenty of quality aboriginal players over the last decade - for zilch…
Most teams have a few indigenous players these days but it was not always the case - certainly was not the case in the vast majority of Hawthorn's flags… they must be a racist club - I mean they even off-loaded Buddy!
Re the history of wins - Hawks, Dogs and Roos all did come into the comp in 1925 and were all crap for for the first 20 years - even longer for the Hawks…
Getting the growth corridor as a recruiting zone certainly helped create the Hawthorn legacy in the 70-s and 80's as noted by seedmeister. They tanked for a few years in the naughties after 15 years in the wilderness and recruited some big stars and other top shelf mids to give themselves a good chance for a flag. I would be shocked if any them had a policy of loading up on aboriginal players or not… you really grab the best talent available given the teams needs and overall strategy.

RACIST? 
Both Collingwood and Hawthorn have had around the same number of Indigenous players represent their football clubs. Sure the Wikipedia article is out of date from August 2014 so it doesn't include the recruitment of Travis Varcoe but give or take Collingwood and Hawthorn have had about 10 or 11 Indigenous players represent their football clubs so your argument is absurd.

The continual booing of Adam Goodes by our supporters is the evidence I need and outweighs anything on Wikipedia.
PS, I pulled the racist thing out of my arse. I was making an observation about Hawthorn, not a point, but Hiss stupid response required some sort of even more stupid post.
