As much as we have always hated the Carlton FC and their cheating of us out of the 1981 Premiership, is it not time to bury the hatchet and offer an olive branch to our old foe in their time of greatest need? Perhaps recognition of Mick Malthouse as a life Collingwood member whilst he clings to the Coaching job at Carlton by a rabbits whisker? A nice gesture I think! From a competition point of view, nothing could be more beneficial for the AFL and our collective Club profit, than a strong Collingwood Carlton rivalry. So lets give our mortal enemy a life line and wish them all the best as they attempt to save themselves. Perhaps an offer to share our home ground with us and all the other Clubs that now call it home. Please put aside your feral mentality and think for once outside the confines of your backsides. Think how much enjoyment we would get beating a competitive Blues side in a GF. Hey! A weakened Carlton is not good for Collingwood or our game.

I wouldn't mind making mick a life member, it needs to be done over the next week though to rub the maximum amount of salt into the gaping wound.

I knew it. Hiss is a Carlton plant. Wink
Feel sorry for them? Huh.
Not in this life time. In fact not in the next one either.
Mick & Daisy are doing an incredible service to our football club by ensuring Carlton suck for many years to come. Smile

Love it.

However I would rather do it the day after he is sacked / retires gracefully. Maximum impact .

Maybe we can offer a trade for Thomas as well at seasons end.

We'll give them in the vicinity of pick 90-100 for him as long as they pay $550,000 of his salary for the next couple of years. I reckon they'll jump at it and when we get Daisy we'll immediately appoint him captain of our VFL side.

Everyone's a winner.

Happy to offer them an olive branch, though they may not appreciate where I would like to stick it.

What did the VFL side do wrong?
