Maccaffer- knee had a set back and looking at 8 weeks
Sinclair- hammy, back after VFL bye
Greenwood- leg 3 to 4 weeks
Freeman- hammy, start running next week
Moore- hammy, back after VFL bye
Young - hammy, back after VFL bye
Toovey- knee, could be a chance this week
Ramsey - shin test
Reid- Back after VFL bye
Sidebottom- thumb test likely 1 week

Edited based on Balme report this week.

My understanding with Caff is that it isnt the knee but the hammy. Like Freeman had scar tissue is holding him back and may have developed into a cyst. Quick clean up would see him back into the program much sooner.

Well that's sort of right - it appears that the problem is with the hamstring graft that was used as a replacement knee-part in the reconstruction. Hence, he's having an arthroscopy on his knee (where the former hamstring part now resides), not work on the hammy. See late in the following article: http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/collingwood-must-prepare-for-the-burst-says-coach-nathan-buckley-20150519-gh51mr.html

Where's the evidence that our injury situation is any worse than that of most clubs? Maybe it is, but I haven't seen any evidence to that effect.

Evidence? This is Nick's Collingwood Bulletin Board. Darling, we don't do evidence.

Thanks darling. Embarassed

latest injury update:

http://www.afl.com.au/news/injury-news/injury-list

excluding keeffe and thomas, we only have seven not available for selection. this also includes abbott.

we have a number of players facing the fitness test. we'll have another 2-3 returning to some semblance of game time in the 4-6 weeks.

our predicament is not so bad.

Coming along. Interesting that they don't have a sense of Freeman's likely return post surgery. Good to see Abbott is over his flu, shame there isn't a VFL game this week. Be interesting to see how Tooves comes up and if they'll risk him.

Josh Thomas - Provisionally suspended Indefinite

Brent Macaffer* - Knee 7-9 weeks

Nathan Freeman - Hamstring TBC

Levi Greenwood* - Fractured ankle 3-4 weeks

Ben Sinclair - Hamstring 1-3 weeks

Clinton Young - Hamstring tightness 1-2 weeks

Jackson Ramsay - Shin Test

Ben Reid - Quad Test

Steele Sidebottom - Broken thumb Test

Alan Toovey - Jarred knee Test

Brenden Abbott - Illness Available

The Club came out and said Toovey would be getting an Arthroscope this week and now they have test and he could play? Someone's telling porkies.

It was Caff that had the scope, Toovey had a scan that confirmed no structural damage.

A close examination of the official injury list reveals that Greenwood and McCaffer are our only long term injuries. All others are either listed as test, or 1-4 weeks. All in all I think we're in pretty good shape.

Scans revealed today that its true, I am only big boned (in the trouser dept), although at about 85% fitness, Docs say I am cleared to skank for about 90% time at the upcoming Bad Manners concert on the 4th. Im expecting a much bigger performance than Rudies last concert, where I was indeed suspended for many low acts including several Liverpool kisses and a couple of crotch grabs. See you on the battlefield brothers.

Never mind. I looked it up.

Bolsters both the VFL and senior team. Appears Frosty will be okay, Tooves back means someone is likely to drop back. Add them to Reid, Young And Abbott. Looking very good.
