Brought in Fas to an already slow team. Not good.

Against a very quick team but I'd guess he's a like - like with Patty K.

Be the front runner for the green vest I'd think.

But we've gone slow for two weeks and we've lost both. Not sure why we messed around with a winning formula.

But Fasolo is quicker than Karnezis,so that probably makes us a bit faster if anything. It's all relative i know, but Karnezis is especially slow.

Watching this week's 'Team Sheet' program on the Pies' website, it was interesting hearing Balme speak of Fasolo's inclusion after being previously dropped.

Basically he said that last week in the VFL Fasolo demonstrated that he is willing to play the team game and not just think of himself. Rough praise.

The pass across HF to hit up Still was especially good. More importantly, he weighed up his options and executed quickly.

last night mark thompson talked about dropping players to the vfl so they could learn (and demonstrate) to play according to the team game style. he wouldn't promote them until they could demonstrate they had changed their ways for the better.

So I can only assume that Kennedy is injured.

That was the tip over at bigfooty earlier in the week.

Yeah, suggested he had some tightness in a hammy.

I wonder if the club will know how to treat such an injury. Quite foreign to us....

Fasolo won't win many sprinting contests but he's a smart footballer who finds space and uses the ball well.

That same description could be applied to a number of AFL/VFL champions who Fasolo is no where near, yet. Leg speed is not as important as decision making speed and good disposal.

I think the Fasolo selection this week is as much to do with our next opponent as well.

Fas had 32 disposals last time we played North in one of his best games ever.

Coaches will often give players on the fringe opportunities against teams they've done well against in the past.

He needs to take this opportunity and work his arse off defensively.

If he doesn't he mightn't get many more chances.

Let's hope Fasolo makes it a winner as I like him but was ropeable with his effort against the Crows. Sidey is a huge inclusion. Will warm up this week in a game we should win comfortably and hopefully we get Tooves and Ramsay back for North. We are on the cusp of becoming a good side if we have some luck with injuries. I am upgrading my tip from 12th to 10th. Go Pies!!
