is Schmidt is shit!
Not sure how the goal was reviewed but very happy it was - clearly a goal and i couldn't believe it was not reviewed straight away!

From what I understand the reviewers have the opportunity to call for a review if they see something on replay, however only until the play restarts, thank the dirty little midget for taking so long to kick in

Should make for interesting viewing...lucky we're playing Melbourne.

This will end like all umpiring discussions, it fizzles out after we win a couple and the subject is forgotten by all except those who know the facts. Like the fact that anyway you look at it, Collingwood is not treated fairly by the umpiring fraternity in general. There are thousands of instances where decisions so bad even the commentators complain are overlooked. There are hundreds of games where we've lost the free kick count. We have been awarded the fewest free kicks of any team over the last five, ten, and twenty years. and on and on.
But its far far far more than that! As far as I know there are no stats on obvious free kicks which weren't paid, or ridiculous frees paid against us, or how many goals we've missed out on, or how many were given to our opposition. How do you count instances like Rd.8 2011 where Pendles took the ball from Jolly's tap and slammed through the winning goal only to have it discounted because the umpire awarded Jolly the free but not the advantage, handing the match to Geelong! How do you quantify that?
As I've said, I personally don't believe in a deliberate conspiracy or that umpires are getting paid by 'colourful' identities. Its worse than that. It's an ingrained, cultural bias which cannot be easily changed because those that could do such things suffer from the very same bias. Moreover, we actually ACCEPT biased umpiring!!! We expect and accept it! That is INSANE! What other sport KNOWS there is umpiring bias, and just accepts it!?
The FACT that Freo and West Coast are treated better than their opponents in all home games is known and happily accepted by all in the sport. The commentators talk about it as part of the game. Just last night, when Richmond unaccountably whipped the undefeated Fremantle, Cometti spoke about it as a known and accepted factor to be overcome by Richmond.
As a Magpie fan, every single one of us has at some time felt that we were getting the short end from the umpires. We may choose to ignore it, or not accept it, say that "you should be so far in front that it doesn't matter" WHAT??? There shouldn’t be close games??? That is a really, really poor argument!!
So will we do anything about it? Even the coach is prepared to risk sanction to speak out, and the President has done it often, but they do that for our benefit, so we don't think they meekly accept it. They do.
Email. Can you send one? Yeah? Great! Send one to the AFL. better, send six! Simply send them to... err... hmmm, that's weird... Can anyone tell me the AFLs email address? I can't find one! I wonder why?
Stuff it, go to their Facebook site and flood it!!! Is this ridiculous situation ever going to change? Or are we just going to accept that we'll continue to lose some close games because the umpires are simply unable to umpire fairly?
STAND UP FOR YOUR CLUB! Eddie can't really do it, nor can Bucks, they're "not allowed", but WE can. If you do nothing else just boo the umps and their decisions louder than you ever have!!!!

Correct about Schmidt last week, not the worst, but merely satisfactory at best.
And that rat-f*ck thing Pannell... isn't he flying up our shit-list with a bullet?
Stevic was pox in the first half, but acceptable in the second half.
And I feel so dirty for complimenting Stevic, that I may need to shower...

| If any of the conspiracy theories are correct, it is obviously important to start praising Stevic massively - according to those theories, presumably the only thing that would stop him from being assigned routinely to Collingwood games would be if the AFL thought he was unfairly favouring us.
