You can understand how they can afford to lose a kid like Treloar when they've got so many other waiting for opportunities but I like the idea of trying to grab a couple of their kids who are battling at the edges of selection rather than 1 player. |
Not so much a fan of this. We've got pretty good depth as it is, I think we should be after one of two things: top end talent or an extra top up mid-aged player.
Bringing in players is always a risk. I think we're in a position where we don't desperately need any additions, so should only be making moves for a great fit that we know is ready to produce. |
I agree. However, if the opportunity arose, given the clouds hanging over the worth of Freeman and Scharenberg, I think we could do with an emerging 'A' grade midfielder like Treloar, and an emerging key forward, to form an attacking partnership with Moore in 2-3 years. |

Any recruiting carries risks. Just think we'd be better off if we could land a Bruce - Miles type combo. A developing KPP with a couple of years in the system (think Tomlinson/ Marchbank), and an extra classy mid option (think Pickett/Kelly/Bugg/Barrett). Complement that with a FA type. |

Given we've got Broomhead, Adams and Ramsay currently out of our side and still Seedsman cannot hold his spot in the team, suggests that he could well find himself up for trade at season's end. |

Gold Coast have 11 players on their senior list 196cm or taller.
That's what's called having a surplus, that's where we should be looking to pick up a tall. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

I think that's correct (he may be trade bait) which is a pity because at his best he is our best total metres gained player - he just doesn't perform consistently close enough to that level. Bucks said something recently in a presser along the lines of Seedo is trying to work out if he belongs at this (AFL) level. He is in the age and games played bracket of guys we need to take the next step. I suspect we won't get offered enough to make a trade worthwhile though so he may get another season to prove himself. _________________ All We Can Be |

Watched him closely yesterday. A 3rd rounder at best but no steak knives. We have enough big blokes who are not physically aggressive _________________ Annoying opposition supporters since 1967. |
