They were terrible tonight, we weren't up to the task....however - from the time Hawkins got that first free kick we were doomed. They do not reward tackling unless it is obvious, there were a couple of times where the cats deliberately put it out of bounds (throw it in), and oh my goodness the hanging on and high tackles that were called play on. The umpires were disgraceful tonight and need to be held to account. Bucks should rip them, I would chip in for the fine. Stevic and donlon are immoral in the way they treat us.

Stevic and Donlon ate dick augogo tonight as we expected.
And paid their standard all too late evener-uppers late in the game when we were too far behind to make up any ground.
Only paid the obvious ones during the heat of the game.
Ignored every push in the back and head high tackle they could against us.
And all the holds on Crisp to stop him generating any run for us.
Geelong could hatch the ball for as long as they wanted, several 360 degree rotations in the tackle was the norm tonight.
However our tackling was rather effeminate anyhoo.

We got the better of the frees count, 17-13.

Imagine how big the margin would've been without these whinge targets.

donlon wasn't umpiring last night. we had fisher, dalgleish and stevic. i don't much like leigh fisher's umpiring and i'm less annoyed by stevic than most.

they paid nearly half of the free kicks in that last quarter.

Third man up ,what a joke ,last night every ball up stanley bearhugged Grundy ,blicavs then becomes ruckman .
Free kick every time to grundy, huge advantage which compensates for Geelong not having a ruckman . Hawthorn do it too
Never change though been going on for 5 years
i counted 14 freekicks to grundy
also 8 holding the balls , 4 hands in back and of course the old cats favorite illegal disposal .
Are the umps , stupid or just Biased
EDDIE where all sick of it

Donny they paid bullshit ones in the last where they did us no good.

How many high calls were not paid in our forward 50?

How many times does Hawkins get away with pushing?

How about all the holding the arm when we don't have it?

Their frees are where they count, ours might as well be during the quarter time breaks.

It was bad, the holding of Cloke as always, but what about paying holding the ball?

Hawkins 3 marks came from pushes, one 50/50 and the other 2 clearly in the back

No umpire bashing threads for weeks. We were due for one. Oh, surprise, it was after a loss Laughing

Umps were not terrible on the whole last night- yet there seemed to be a different set of rules for each team.

worst decisions of the night for mine were.

*HAwkins bullshit holding free to start- set them up nicely

*another goal to cats in second from a holding the man-forget who-when the player dropped the ball in the tackle- defalted our momentum

*Jamie got legged by Enright right in front of ump- play-on (granted he shouldn't have played on!)

*Varcoe blatantly held after he kicked forward to vacant 50 and it was a foot race

*JAmie held/blocked on the boundary at fwd flank in front of stouthern stand in the last

*Karnesis was hit AFTER he kicked the ball- should've been down field- instead brought back (Cloke then marked and killed all chances of surprise victory.

Donny- you continually use stats as if they are the be all and end all- Many of us find it quite antagonistic and it does show a lack of understanding of the game.

Stats out of context are pointless- please keep this in mind when deriding posters in future.

PS- Stevic is a deadset cheat!
