I can't make head nor tail of this short medium long term rubbish.
Just say it's 1 week or 2 weeks. Not this maybe he will play and then again he won't or it's not as bad as we thought but it's still medium term.
Can't we go back to the 1 or 2 or whatever it is in weeks and drop this short or medium or long term.
No one really gives a hoot just tell us the number of weeks.
Can't be that hard surely. _________________ Go Pies...Premiers 2010 |

Not the club's finest work, I'll agree with you there.
Perhaps though, a 'band' of an outcome is being preferred to saying 1-2 weeks and it turning out to be 3-4 and everyone complaining that we're being mislead?
Presentation skills are appalling too. _________________ One team, one dream - the Pies and this year's premiership |

Have to admit the longer this goes on the funnier and embarrassing it gets.
To use short / Medium / Long they would have some sort of games to form a baseline?
So why not just say Short is between 1-2 weeks, medium is 3-5 weeks long term is > 6 weeks < 12 weeks? _________________ There is Collingwood and then the rest. |

Whats so difficult to understand???
After round 1, I think, he explained that the system was introduced due to people feeling mislead, as mentioned above, when 2 weeks became 3 or 4. Predicting the time on injuries is like predicting the weather - No praises for getting it right but ALL the criticism when you get it wrong.
I find it refreshing and a great way of doing it as it eases the expectation. Also shows that the club has taken a very conservative stance on injuries and at no stage will rush back a player. Which is a good thing for us and the player. |

Just can't win can they. System has been introduced to appease supporter unrest at the weeks missed drift. It's an inexact science and people should just let the club do their jobs and when we see IN: Player X, we'll know they're back. |

Should just say when the player is fit, he will play again! Then the Club can give an update about their first game back. |

So are the players, doctors, the club, the media, everybody really. Medical recovery dates for any injury or illness are best estimates and guesswork, NOT an impeccably exact or efficient science! So supporters need to chill out and accept this situation instead of bloody whinging about yet another aspect of football... _________________ Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. load of crap. injury lists of the past were usually around the mark give or take a couple of weeks. now we get vague-arsed answers like 'medium to long term' nonsense. our club is worst at this. imo, it kills any excitement of said players' return from injury.
BTW that is my opinion so shut your gob De Silva! |

This is my take on injuries, you have to read between the lines:
Maccaffer - knee 5 to 6 weeks
Greenwood- broken leg 5 to 6 weeks
Moore- hammy tendon 6 to 8 weeks
Sinclair- hammy 5 to 6 weeks
Young- hammy strain 3 to 4 weeks
Sidebottom- thumb 2 weeks (Gold Coast game)
Reid- quad- vfl in 1 week
Seedsman- hip 1 week maybe 2 (won't play this week)
Ramsey- leg might play this week but might miss 1 week
Armstrong - knee 1 to 2 weeks
Maynard- concussion 1 weeek
Hopefully in 2 weeks we only have maccaffer greenwood Moore sinclair & young injured _________________ Collingwood a way of life! |

On the money jackass. The club is trying to ease the supporter backlash by presenting a window for their return. Now supporters are complaining the window is to broad to establish an accurate return date.
FWIW, I spoke to a couple footy tragic mates who support other clubs before I posted this and both reckon their clubs are just as bad. Its just that we are to insular to know its the same with most clubs.
Yeah I know, who cares. As long as we receive unachievable perfection at Collingwood.
Theyre back when they are back and that hasn't changed for 100 years. |
