Tommy Langdon expected to follow. |
Unfortunately, it appears that the other "signing" was La Trobe Financial and not (yet) Tommy Langdon. |

If so, that would let us pay him whatever small amount rookies get instead of what he gets now (doubtless more than that), keep him out of the clutches of the other clubs, and only sacrifice our last rookie slot rather than a more valuable senior list slot. | Dont think we are allowed to pay him while he is banned
Asada rules prohibit payment but the Asada agreement with the AFL is less strict and does seem to have a clause that could be used. _________________ Carlscum 120 years being cheating scum |

To the discussion about trading Fas etc, it is apparently a weak draft year next year. May warrant player for a player trade potentially. _________________ One team, one dream - the Pies and this year's premiership |

All to the good. He can work for his living while he serves his time. (If indeed that is how it pans out.) I'd just like to see him still contracted to the club. He's a good young player and will still be young enough to want on our list after, say, a two year ban. Whether he'd be able to force his way back into the senior side at that time, who can say? But talls his size with the pace to hold down a key position against much smaller opponents don't grow on trees, and he'll be bigger and stronger in round one 2017, assuming he works hard on the track - which he will, 'coz if he's not the type to do that we don't want him.
Thomas ... well, sorry, but players of his type are two a penny. He can go into the draft and take his chances. Whether we'd want to give him another go at that time, who can say? You'd think he'll probably wind up playing the rest of his career in the VFL or SANFL or WAFL, and doing well there. _________________ Let's eat Grandma. Commas save lives! |
