it's a goodish start for the thread. was hoping for it to be somewhat light-hearted and free of judgment. posters can drop in, get something off their chest about what world events and things going on they dgaf about and get out. probably needed to explain that.

No, I mean it! There are approximately 350,000 babies born around the world every day, and I would rather wish each of those parents good health and happiness before I get around to the royals. I don't see why they should take precedence because they're rich and famous.

I think it's also important to be sincere. How many people "wishing them good health" actually genuinely care? I don't, and I think if most people were being honest they would say exactly the same thing.

That's the sentiment I took from swoops post, I don't see why you febthe need to get the claws out because she's a royal, how about just as a mother? I truly do wish every mother and baby the best.

Actually that's not true, drug addicted ones that give birth to babies in withdrawal, I wish for the baby to be taken off the mother!

I don't wish them bad health, I just don't wish full stop. To wish some fate or other for William and Kate and their babe in arms would require me to GAF. Razz

walked out of oncology today, always a yuk feeling. you never really get good news. saw a lady probably a little older than me limping along on her cane, looked so frail. she was barely standing. a car pulled up, and she was trying to open the door. I walked over, said "excuse me mam, please let me help". I opened the door, and held her book while she got comfortable, handed her book to her, said 'thankyou, have a lovely day" and gently closed the door. her smile made me glad I GAF about someone I don't know and will probably never see again. cheers
