I am going to stick up for Clarko, arguably the greatest coach of the modern era. I don't like how we condemn someone on a 20 second video.
The footage I saw were drunk dickheads being a nuisance, lucky all he received was a push away.
So reminds me of the recent incident where everyone had Brian Lake guilty of sledging against Mitch Clark, Brian's reputation put through hell and nothing came of it.

Looking at that video, doesn't look like a push to the neck to me, that's a proper swing whether the fist was closed or not, and unnecessary.
The tool was provoking clarkson no doubt, the friend was filming it so it was all a set up, and Clarko tipped right into it. Push him away bu all means but the roundarm swing - too much.

Surprised to hear Clarkson being defended on this by AFL greats, club CEOs and even Nicksters. Completely inappropriate to be using physical violence in response to mild verbal provocation. Very weak.

Great point.You can't compare an A.F.L coach to some drunken yobbo in the street.An A.F.L coach should be above that sort of thing and show more restraint.Clarkson has form on this sort of thing.He's a great coach,no doubt,but he should behave himself better in public. |

| Smartarse deserved to be sat on his arse but as a public person (or anyone for that matter) you unfortunately don't have that luxury. Would be surprised if he doesn't get some kind of suspension which is a shame as I quite like him. |
