Yep. Fantastic news.
Really though, regardless of what happens so far as a senior debut is concerned, the main thing is, he is getting pretty much his whole second year of development, when the ACL could have had him out for pretty much all of 2015 even at VFL level. So he's not missing as much of these formative years as we feared when he went down.
Oh, and for the old school Pies here, next week he'll be returning in our only home game for two months at Victoria Park, so get along if you can.

EDIT: actually that's an away game... my bad.

I meant that we're fixtured for just one home game in the first two months of the season.
After next week, (Round 3), we're not back at Vic Park until Round 9 vs Werribee, in a game which will clash with the AFL game vs the Giants.

Bloody odd VFL fixture.
Playing against Geelong in Bendigo, 4 away games in a row.
I thought we were playing a VFL game as a curtain raiser to an AFL match this season?
Only one game on tv or hasn't the full broadcast guide been released yet?

broadcast guide gets released in four weekly blocks, i.e. four weeks ahead.
i think the spate of home games late in the seasons is to accommodate the possibility of an mcg curtain raiser or two.
