No quad damage. Mild corkie

Good news. I did think it was unusual he hurt a quad in an impact injury so a corky is completely understandable.

Reid, 26 next week, is in the first season of a four-year deal signed 12 months ago.

When he gets up itll be for the long term, so were still in the same process, Buckley told Fox Footys AFL360.

We believe were going to get an All-Australian player back. I dont reckon hell play this week, but he could be back at training in a week.

Hes had a stiff run, but hes actually a lot better off now than he was and were more confident now then we were six months ago about the outcome for him.

He doesnt like being speculated on in this regard but this is part of the game.

Comments from the article demonstrate that the club is confident he'll get back to his AA best.

I think they're more hopeful than confident. Perhaps it also explains Darcy Moore's positioning in defence.

Yeah no muscle damage but Buckley says it's unlikely he will play in the AFL until the 2nd half of the season. No time frame when he will be back in the VFL either, several weeks I would imagine.

Well, I suppose for bad news that's good news.

Hahaha shows how paranoid the club are about his bodies ability to stand up. You would have thought the first port of call would have been "it's a corkie"... and then if the scan showed worse then say so.... but not with Reidy.... we jump to the "his torn his quad" first and then ... "oh it wasn't as bad as we first thought"!! Weird but good news.

Looks like the old professor from Bayern Munich is no longer at the club, as of last week. Didn't realise he was into some funky stuff:

Reid is out until second half of the season.

We don't have a time frame on it as such. Reidy is on his own program. We will give him every chance to get up. We believe the second half of the year is probably when we hope to get him back.

He will become the first player in history to miss 4 weeks due to a "corky".

What are the chances that he would want a change of location? Would be awesome if we could get someone of that calibre.

No, Presti missed the end of the 2010 H&A season and the finals (and GF) due to a corky.

I say we play him on the bench against carlton to get him to 100 games then put him out to stud.

Great news about Sidebottom, sounds like he'll be back sooner rather then later.

Rumours of the demise of Luke Hodge a few years ago were exaggerated. Hawthorn were patient, and were rewarded handsomely. Fingers crossed it's the same for Ben.
