Have you told many people about your point - it's harmless banter what Culprit said?

White is showing more willingness to get physical this year. Just a bit.

I wonder if the presence of Varcoe has spurred him in this direction. Both he and Varcoe are mature age recruits, but Varcoe arrives and gets stuck in, whereas White has been onboard for years and had shied away from the hard clashes.

White might be seeing in Varcoe a role model of what is expected of him - almost shame him into developing a bit more mongrel.

White said at the start of the season that the club stats showed that when he got involved in contests he has a positive impact for the team. Trouble was he didn't have the tank to get to many contests. Hence the massive weight loss he's achieved plus a solid preseason of endurance running.

Hope he continues to develop more aggression and gets to and chuck himself into a few more body clashes.

on saturday night he looked as imposing as i have seen him. he attacked the ball and the contests and got rewarded. int the second quarter he nearly had his head knocked off by lonergan which was a good sign; he was prepared to put his body on the line. in previous games we've all seen how he stops short and allows the ball to bounce.

Let's hope he's turned the corner and is going to start imposing himself on games and starts playing like Tarzan too.

Reminds me of Shane Watson for Australia. Just when it looks like he is on the verge of being dumped he pulls out a score that bankrolls him a few more games.

Lets hope we have more of these games from Jesse week to week and not once a month.

That's the thing. He was good against GC but can he deliver a solid contribution consistently? I doubt it.

He was fantastic on Saturday night but for the most part I have been very disappointed in him. Hope he now has the confidence and the faith in his body to take the next step and be consistent.

a good point was made on tv in he did not have to play as a second ruck. to me, he looked more akin to cloke with the way he used his body, ran up high and also clunked some good marks.

His game wasn't all that different from previous weeks outside of kicking straight for goal.

He's been going okay and is a better option than any current alternatives but was up against undersized young defenders last week so I wouldn't be reading to much into it just yet in terms of the bigger picture.

Needs to back it up this week against a Hansen or Tarrant.
