Post subject: 11 Anzac Day wins available in DVD set | |
|
Not the most exciting current topic, I know, but there is a just-released official set of 12 complete Anzac Day games (the 1995 draw and the 11 subsequent Collingwood wins) available. This one is comparatively good value, too - it's retailing for about $57 (or, at least, it was where I bought it yesterday). |

Sounds great, might do the trick if things go pear shaped towards the end of this years big Anzac game, bung on the DVD of our wins, and forget todays result. ! _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

Let's hope it's redundant in a few weeks time when we win #12. Also hoping that Pendles or Swan win the medal to make Hird not the only 3 medal winner. _________________ Fighting against the objectification of woman. |

You betcha, Whatsi.
Even if we lose, we need Swanny or Pendles to win that medal to equal Hird......That'll silence my Essington sympathising mates!!

Or... for the sadomasochists out there, like myself, there's this shit:
AFL - Anzac Day Anniversary Collection: Essendon [9 DVD]

Less wins, but the same great value-for-money price of $57.00

^^^ Thanks for the suggestion, piedys.
I have a collection of Collingwood Grand Final videos from the 60s to the 80s at home - it was a tedious task going through each one to edit out the opposition goals but, gee, it does make them more fun to watch! (I picked up the idea from watching the 1992 "Persistent Pies" season review). It'd be a labour of love to get the Bumblers' box set and edit out every Hird possession. Might take some time, though.... |

Yep, be patient. At least three of those James Turd games will try to break you... I'd be happy to watch your "director's cut" special editions, when they are released!
cheers

I felt like it was tempting fate to mention this before the game but I'm pleased to report now that there is actually a spare space in the box for the DVD of this year's game. |
