Mobile, good mark, straight kick, reads the play well - a lot to like. Be interesting to see him come up into the 50, although of course he already owns the arc just inside the back 50.

Funny you posted this up. I made a similar comment when he went forward and marked that he was a little gunston like. So yeah I agree, one can only hope

Still learning the caper so lots of upside with Oxley. Said watching him at VFL level he reminded me of Shane Morwood, still think that.

To phark with sending him forward. Why is it that every time we unearth a player who is good at doing one thing, every damn fool on Nick's wants to try him out at doing some other bloody thing instead?

Ox is a natural-born outside mid, at his best on the wing, the half-back flank, as a defensive sweeper, or (if need be) as a running half-forward flanker. Wing and half-back is perfect for him.

Hey! I've got another idea! Let's play Cloke at full back! Why not? And what's the point of having an A-grade small forward named Elliott when we could have an extra C/B-grade midfielder instead? And we could give young Frost a run in the ruck.

FFS. Play the kid in his natural position.

There's nothing wrong with players having some versatility, especially as we try to squeeze more players into our best 22 .

It's too late for that now. Only thing that can save Tannin now is a Dyso rant....

He reminds me of a more talented version of Goldsack, good height but will struggle to put the pounds on, he's very strong overhead, he picks up the flight of the ball very quickly, I wouldn't mind giving him a run up forward.

I am old enough to remember Phil Carman playing, and while the Ox hasn't shown the freakish ability (yet) of Phil, when you look at his size, body shape and movement, and the little mo on his top lip, he looks every bit like Fabulous Phil when he running down the wing. Could easily pass as son of fab.
