Well done pies terrific win with an undermanned side but let's face it the saints are bloody ordinary still.

Isn't it great.

Next week is the real challenge.

We needed a percentage booster to jump a few sides. Given the Blues are as soft as butter any injuries to the Bombers would have to friendly fire

Good all round effort.
Good games from most of the youngsters. Liked the toughness of Ramsay and a Crispy. And even Varcoe.
Swanny and Grundy outstanding, as was Jamie.
Goldy sloppy. Tries his hardest but way out of form.
Things are looking up.

Beams for Crisp looks like a fair trade. Oh, and did we get De Goey chucked in as the steak knives?

Will take that and run. Great to see us finish the game off for once instead of falling in a hole. Just need to back this up with a 4 qtr effort next week.

Excellent team effort.

Very good win but remember it was against last years wooden spooners.
But I did find a few interesting things.
1. Godsack kicked out from the kick outs and went mainly down
the centre. We actually went coast to coast once. That was amazing!
Langdon pushed forward in the second half and did really well.
A few of us discussed this during the week.
Maybe the brains trust read Nicks!!!!
We must keep playing the Ox and the Ram!
When PK came on he played on the ball.
And lastly i believe the one good thing Bucks has brought to Pieland
is a side that is tough and hard at the ball.
I await our Anzac moment next week.

Better display than expected.

The positives-Swanny is back baby woohoo! Broomhead has arrived baby woohoo! Elliott is a gun. Cloke can still play. Varcoe will be an attribute (and is already 3 from 3 for maiming the opposition). Crisp can play. Frosty is a beauty. Grundy will be elite. Pendles in 3rd gear is still better than most.

The negatives- Clokes kicking is still an issue but all between the ears. Toovey can't kick. At. All. But is good everywhere else. That's about it.

5 goals for a player bagged mercilessly all game, not bad at all...

I am sure there will still be more threads about how stupid and useless he is again this week, I suppose Collingwood supporters wont be happy until we have a full forward kicking 10 goals every week...

Everyone put in a great effort. Clokey should have kicked 9!!. Great midfield mix tonight. Apart from the obvious good players of Swanny, Brodie Broomy Pendles etc, Ramsay, Crisp and Varcoe were excellent

Smile They weren't hopeless in the first quarter! Like us they are rebuilding! Hopefully a really slow process.

Great team effort.

Best players for mine were Grundy, Swanny, Pendles, Elliott, Cloke, Broomhead, Crisp, Frost, Dwyer and Varcoe.

Cloke should have had 10 goals. I can't believe a key forward of his experience is such a sloppy kick for goal. It's actually beyond a joke.

The only disappointing players for me were Gault, White and Goldsack.

Given our undermanned midfield, it was a fantastic performance....albeit against a shit team.

Varcoe did well to get us going. He adds something we don't get from any other player on our list. A little magic. He will have quiet moments but even if he gets us enough wins during the year against the lesser teams he has done his job.

It's all about chalking up wins in the first half of the season. The second half is when you look at how you win and what you want the team to look like considering injuries. Enough wins early with some key players coming back means a fight for positions.

4 points - move on to next week, reload and go again.
