Fair go! Matt tried his heart out but it really struggled. The crowd was pretty low and dispersed. Where we were seated there were plenty of seats. See if this game was played at Victoria Park you would have had a lock out. MCG is just too big for these types of games. Better to have the excitement of a lock out than two thirds of the ground empty. The AFL under Gilligan McDonald need to address this urgently. Lets return some games to suburban football. Stuff these socialist green thug local Councils who are only there to fund the Chinese communist Government military buildup.

the fireworks when the players come out is just like the cricket 20/20 and then the smoke still remains in the air for a while and not a good look for tv.

the elcetronic signs around the stands look good, but maybe less ads on them and more the home team colours

Well it was better then the Bloody Fireworks when the Music Finished

I think I found myself in the picture taken of the Ponsford End ten minutes before the match commenced by Mattys123 even if it's blurry to see specific people obviously! Razz

Anyway I thought the match-day experience was ordinary overall. The cheersquad seemed noticeably louder and Joffa's flag saying 'We Hear Your Fear' was great but I hope the CS incorporates more bigger flags soon. The so-called 'active area' seemed non-existent last night to be honest so that was disappointing to see.

The fireworks were just embarrassing to say the least. Even the players looked surprised by them and it was funny seeing Travis Varcoe bump into Jamie Elliott because they were so focused on them for a small moment when they were running out to the field. The LED advertising wasn't as noticeable at the MCG thankfully or maybe I'm getting used to it now.

The Collingwood chant really needs to stop being manufactured. It's being overused and destroyed gradually. I think we need to leave the chant to pivotal moments such as big momentum lifters in a particular match or in a big finals match. I think chanting at the start is cringeworthy and it falls completely flat.

Overall some things worked and others may need further re-evaluation such as the fireworks which was ridiculous to witness.

the megaphone used by Joffa was a good idea, we could hear the chants up on Level 2 and it did get the cheersquad going.

I think you'll find it will be bigger and better on Saturday, but that's because it's a big game.

Did you see the St Kilda Cheersquad? nah, neither did I!

I'm at the front of level 2. The megaphone was awful and awkward. If you love collingwood stand up? How bout if you love collingwood watch the game.

You will only get a rise out of the crowd during a momentum shift or towards the end of a massive game. Nobody is interested during the 2nd qtr playing the wooden spooner.

Yes I was sitting in M35 on Friday night Dave. The Cheersquad was located in M33.

I saw both of them on the train home after the game.
