well done to metro. to combat the expected queues at richmond station at the end of the game they're handing out free ponchos. that's really thoughtful of them.

so, as a cfc member you now get a cap or scarf not both. run out of lanyards too. how does this happen? great member experience. not overly thoughtful.

and, i see the mcg is now doing body scans (in the afl members, not sure about other sections) once you've passed the security. that's something new and welcoming. how thoughtful.

am keenly anticipating the pregame show ... and how much thought has gone into it.

Game day experience for me tonight is having a few drinks at home before the stuff starts on TV.

After a mentally draining week, once I get home on Friday night I just can't summon the motivation to go out again when just getting to the game takes nearly an hour.

Where are the big flags that the cheer squad said that they will have this year??? All there is, is Joffa's flag. Others are no good.

So what happened to the barrackers end? All I could see were empty seats.

Did he don a gold cravat when it became clear we had the thing won? Laughing

Here was the area 10 minutes before our team ran out;

I didn't mind the banner surrounded by fireworks though as we ran out;

the fireworks when the players come out is just like the cricket 20/20 and then the smoke still remains in the air for a while and not a good look for tv.

the elcetronic signs around the stands look good, but maybe less ads on them and more the home team colours

The only pre-match fireworks I want to see, are the ones in our VFL team! I don't understand why the VFL teams can't play before the main event... If this is not possible, then Cloke kicking the easy goals would be nice. Smile

given what i have just seen on the news today i am pleased i got scanned. no doubt they wouldn't have done it without a good reason.

Fair go! Matt tried his heart out but it really struggled. The crowd was pretty low and dispersed. Where we were seated there were plenty of seats. See if this game was played at Victoria Park you would have had a lock out. MCG is just too big for these types of games. Better to have the excitement of a lock out than two thirds of the ground empty. The AFL under Gilligan McDonald need to address this urgently. Lets return some games to suburban football. Stuff these socialist green thug local Councils who are only there to fund the Chinese communist Government military buildup.
