I wonder if those vids were leaked deliberately just to set up a whole bunch of downloaders to be traced. Not too hard to put trackers in the vids I assume, so VPN or not once they're downloaded onto your hard drive, you can be found.

I'll store this one in the memory for future reference, see how it plays out.

There have been a few people actually wondering if these were leaked for that purpose I've seen on a friends status the exact discussion about whether or not it was a trap to see who was downloading.

I just picked up season 1-4 on blu ray from JB. I've read the books and quite like them but missed the series to the point where I want to start from the start.

I have also read the books, and the series is quite different in some places.

As long as your not a "book snob", you will enjoy ther series.

nah, I'm not a book snob. I can appreciate the difference.

Watched the first 2 episodes tonight of season 1. The dragon chick was 14 in the book when she was married off to the horse boy, that wouldn't carry well. best set of titties since Traci Lords.

Ah, that explains it. Wink

(In all seriousness, I haven't read the books. But I read a lot of fantasy as a kid and kind of went off the genre as a whole. The little I've seen of the TV series hasn't swayed me.)

By the way, can someone ask Julia Gillard to stop writing weird articles about Game of Thrones for The Guardian? I think I preferred her knitting. Razz

Dragon chick....horse boy

Hmmm I didn't get through the first episode, too much uncalled for violence with kids involved, is this game of thrones? Or is got something else?

It's worth while remembering that George RR Martin already know's how the series is going to end - both the movie and the books.

He's also stated that from here on, the next books and the TV show will differ. That's a bit of a punch in the face for those who love the books. I know a few 'hardcore' GOT fans who are quite pissed about that.

Pretty much the TV series will end before he finishes the books.

I haven't read the books I've seen a few episodes of season 2, I have all four seasons now, will have to look into the fifth once I've caught up.
