Skyhooks down at 19? Who are we kidding here? And where is Daddy Cool / Mondo Rock? The list is utter crap.

^^^ Such lists always are.

If it helps, Daddy Cool is in the list - not in the top 20, though.

Jimmy Manson and Glenn McLean had a band . Why aren't they in. Or any of Fred Negros. The list is indeed full of holes.

Seriously THE MASTERS APPRENTICES at 37? Daddy Cool in the 20's. Half the bands mentioned would not get a run on Juke Box Saturday Night let alone a rerun version of Countdown.

And who they asked for the poll are hardly household names, I was going through the list and sounding like an fricking Owl.

Yup, Aztecs and Mondo Rock are glaring omissions.

Firstly, those bands who are in most others' top 50:

Sherbet (FMD, how on earth are they not in the top 50 ? The old timers who voted mustn't like 'em Wink )

Axiom Shocked

Chain Shocked Shocked

Goanna

Radiators

Split Enz (sorry, you can't have Dragon and exclude Split Enz, despite the disclaimer under Crowded House)

TMG

Honourable mentions to: Spectrum, Stars, Buffalo, Copperwine, Southern Cross, Kahvas Jute, Allniters, Dynamic Hepnotics, Kids In The Kitchen, Machinations, Matt Finish, Sports, Monitors, Moving Pictures, Redgum, Sunny Boys, Little Heroes, Jimmy & The Boys, Ayres Rock, Stylus, Tamam Shud, Zoot, Ariel, Mississippi, Grinspoon, Lime Spiders.

As you were............

Anyone remember the old trips by bus to watch the footy in Sydney. We used to stay at the Chateau Commodore in the Cross. Electric Pandas and moving pictures were playing there on the Saturday night but the kids in the cheer squad couldn't go in because they were under 18. the club did nothing. I went down to the management of the hotel and said. "look, we have a heap of kids here under 18 who would love to stay and watch but can't. But they can hear it. You want them roaming the cross at night" He knocked on my door a few minutes later with a proposal that he would open a side room, the kids paid a minimal price. No smoking and no booze but they could buy soft drinks . So I spoke to the cheer squad rep and he agreed. In response the kids collected all the get one free drink vouchers at the Bourbon and Beefsteak bar and gave them to me. I had 56 vouchers for 3 of us. The kids had a great time and we got smashed across the road. I am pretty sure it was the game BT kicked 12.

And? Sometimes I think love is just a biological urge. Other times LOVE seems like a spiritual quality. Love, unlike energy or matter, seems limitless.

Saw them at Jupiters casino late 2013, not a bad show.
Russell Hitchcock always was an under-rated talent.
