It's in 'Big Trouble in Little China'. Like 'The Terminator', it cannot be stopped but perhaps this is 'As Good As It Gets' for them, if only someone with a 'Braveheart' can take a "Black Hawk Down" to prevent the continuing 'Neverending Story' of Hawthorn flags but this is looking more and more like 'Mission Impossible'. Sigh!!!

Hawks unlike any other club seem to vlaue the importance of a strong forward line with players who can actually kick goals.
Most other teams (Us included) focus way to much on the defence and mids.
Our structure is very reliant on mids contributing goals...coz our forwards aren't good enough.
Hawks have built a team around a goal kicking forward line.
That is why they are so damaging.
How many very good to superstar forwards have started out as rookies?
And how many rookies have gone on to be at least good defenders?
Our biggest issue moving forward is the lack of quality forwards on the list either as starting 22 or up and coming.
In 2010, we had Didak Cloke Dawes Davis beams and sidey as the forward line most weeks. Very damaging that the rest of the team had confidence that if they kicked to them there would be a good chance to kick goals.
We underestimate the importance of the forward line.
Why do midfielders have to rest forward??? Why don't they rest back???
Coz we have more faith in our defence than our forwards.
Forwards win matches....building a damaging goal kicking forward line should always be a team number 1 priority.
It was the Hawks and look how it's working for them.
