Surprise win but not a great finish.

Most importantly, what happened to Sidebottom? Don't think he even played that last quarter. Was our best up till then.

Why the hell do the umpires have to gift them a respectable score sheet - I reckon between 5 mins to go in the third and 5 mins to go in the last tehy got about 15 frees to 2 - and they deserved none of them. In the mean time, Cloke and White got smashed from behind - in their heads - and Cloke got pulled off the ball in a 2 on one marking contest, many many pies were taken high - if you judge the Brisbane definition of someone looking at their heads, no matter who initiates the contest - FFS umpires, have a look at the last 40 minutes of the game and take a good hard look at yourself. One team shouldn't have the rules changed mid game.

Phew.

Welcome back stress.

After leading by so much it feels kind of anti-climatic to win by so little but at the start of the night we would have taken any victory.

Fatigue got us in the end but you can't be unhappy with the effort of the first 2 and 3/4 quarters.

Phew!

2 3/4 of excellent football before we clearly tired and nearly lost it but we fought it out.

Much, much better than I expected but we do need some more scoring options still. Blair has a dip but he lacks finishing skills and Clokes kicking is still useless.

But Swanny was good, Pendlebury average by his standards but very good by anyone else's and Taylor Adams was terrific.

I'll take an away win any day of the week though.

Great win but more than coincidence that we have no run when we lose sidebottom. He is a barometer, just hope the wrist / arm isnt to bad.
