Yesterday, Dane played a 30 or more disposal game for the 100th time. He is behind only Robert Harvey on the all-time list of such games.

Make that 101 after his 36 disposals against GCS.

Make that 102 after his 30 disposals against GWS.

Of course, he's only averaging about 29 disposals per game this year against a career average of 27, so I guess he should be put out to pasture.

I am firmly of the view that the only threads on the first page of Nick's this week should be about The Great Dane. One of Collingwood's greatest ever.

I look forward to cheering the 350th here in Melbourne.

Not only a gun player but also a gun bloke!
Had the pleasure to meet Swanny at a function over here in the West a few weeks back. Talks with you like you're one of the boys and is just a genuine nice bloke.
Congrats on the 250 Swanny! A true Pie Legend.

In his 250th game, Dane played his 103rd game with 30 or more disposals.

19 kicks, 14 handballs, 17 contested possessions, 11 clearances and 8 tackles.

What an effort!

And, just to highlight his focus and professionalism, he was swarmed by SA police the night before the match.

Imagine the outcry in Adelaide if the Victoria Police picked up Patrick Dangerfield in a case of "mistaken identity". Swan is one of the most recognisable people in the country.

This event is just a little too porcine for my liking.

One of our greatest players ever! Phenomenal effort by the great man! Very Happy

Today's game against the Wellfare was Dane's 104th game with 30 or more disposals.

13 kicks, 20 handballs, 17 contested possessions, 9 clearances, 7 inside 50s and 3 goal assists.

I didn't give Swan any votes in the GB medal count for this game but maybe he's been so reliable for so long that he no longer stands out in our eyes.

He deserves plenty of praise for being able to maintain this kind of form despite just being a touch slower and down in form from time to time compared to his performances in 2010-2012.

105th game Swan has had 30+ possessions. Reckon Dane had been the most consistent Collingwood player this year.

Another great, big-hearted display today. The result certainly wasn't his fault.

I don't know guys. I mean, Swanny is still getting his disposals and all of that but he doesn't impact the games like the Swanny of old. He is always caught jogging through the middle of the ground when the opposition mids are streaking forward and does put in a lot of half arsed chasing and tackling efforts. He also, doesn't break tackles and show bursts of speed like he used to. Not saying he is crap, but he isn't Super Swanny anymore, just Swanny. Days like today the Swanny we used to have would have stood up and rocked the Dees but he just went about his stat racking.

Agree but he isn't quite impacting as in his golden years.
Still he was close to BOG today.

So, Collingwood beat the Blooz by 18 points. Swan kicks 3 goals straight. He also has 22 kicks, 19 handballs, 12 contested possessions (the most of any Collingwood player), 10 marks, 6 clearances (including 3 in the last quarter when the 'Pies looked to be flagging), 2 goal assists, 4 inside 50s.

Oh, and 0 free kicks for and 3 against - who says the umpires protect the player with the ball?

Anyway, that's his 106th career game with more than 30 disposals.
