Hmmm another very black day in Australian sport.

Hope the NRL handle this better than the Austrlaian Farcial League would.

Criminal charges already laid, good. An umpire with a broken cpshoulder, that would bloody hurt. Another smacked in the head with a bottle. Life time bans. Name and shame.

And the player who carried on like a pork chop? This ain't wrestling, for gods sake. At least 6 weeks.

Was the ump wrong? Don't know, it doesn't matter. The footage going viral will be the player going nuts, and the umpires trying to leave the ground through a hail storm of bottles.

Piss-poor effort. James Graham should be suspended for the season for acting like a dickhead.

This is why stadiums will stop outside food and drink being brought into the stadiums.

We'll head down the USA path of only allowing a small bag into the stadium or a clear one that can be searched with no outside food or drink.

I was watching that game in a bar in Thailand and said to a mate who comes from Sydney "That pommy tomato aauce head had better watch himself. He never stops backchatting the referee." This was when a penalty was given in the first half.

The referee is correct. You can not take the legs of a stationary kicker. The poor bastard he hit has done a cruciate. Will be out for 5 months.

The NRL judiciary review what was said every week because the referees are miked. Those 2 clowns will go and I suggest the club will have a serious fine and possibly a suspended sentence handed out. 2 opposition spectators were assaulted and one was hospitalised. The fan who hit him has been charged with affray.

Given the seriousness of the consequences i think a couple of months for both those jokers is warranted.

4 weeks for doing a blokes cruciate and continual referee verbal abuse as a Captain. If the pommy git did that an English ref he would be getting a lot more.
