| Post subject: What's the latest on Marsh? |  |
|
For those who have seen some of the VFL practice games, can you let me know how Marsh is coming along. It seems he is being groomed as a fast running defender, which will be good, but I wondered if anyone thinks he has the potential to become a big bodied, fast running midfielder? That's what our team is crying out for....as well as a marking forward with footy smarts.  |

If he recovers and continues his exponential improvement from last year (and his showing on Saturday was a solid first step), then yes, it's on the cards.

Can I add anecdotally Marsh seems to have a great attitude. He is level headed, conscientious, works hard and seems very determined. No hint of any arrogance or complacency.

Went to vic park saturday and thought he was good again.
Had 2 very good weeks in a row as I thought he was very good against Melbourne 2nds as well (casey?)
He covers his man, tries to run off and be an option and is a leader.
The thing that stood out to me was moore and marsh always talking. .. giving instruction... at 1 stage a goal was kicked and marsh screamed at each defender to come in so they could regroup. .. loved it.
As far as being a mid option... id say thats a fair way off but a reliable defender at afl level... may be close |
