This pre-season surely has to rate as one of the most negatively viewed by supporters in absolutely ages. Every player (seemingly) apart from Pendlebury is a hack according to one group or another and all our high pick recruits are busts without even playing a game.

Seriously some people are simply and utterly negative by nature, thankfully here there is some balance and at least reasons given - mostly - for negativity.

Over at BF you'd be forgiven if you believed the club was about to be demoted to the VFL.

FFS we are going through a rebuilding process that every team needs to from time to time because of the way the AFL has structured the rules. The majority of posters here are balanced and reasonable people but as for the rest sheeeesh, if you can't stand it go and barrack for the scum or something.

I suggest you read the book by Steve Strevens, Keeping the Faith, about the 2004 season. It really was a shocker, and the following season was even worse. And it was foretold in a very ordinary NAB cup in both years.

The fact is that these seasons come along once in a while. If we finish 8th good. but if we don't stiff bikkies. Just the cycle of football.

The worst thing is a season wasted - 1970, 1977, 2003 (with a hell of a lot of help from Wayne "Fairy Godfather" Jackson). they hurt more.

I remember the end of 2005. Our worst season since 1999. Watching that last game against Footscray, it was like a mercy killing. But it helped us to better times in 2006 and 2007. Play the kids.

only a practice match,, but a 118 point thrashing of the tigers, should keep the hounds at bay for another week at least.

Wow, the usual rant from a cheerleader for " we are the greatest brigade"!
Why post a negative thread about negativity!

You're right. It was funnier than amusing. It was funny.

Maybe because we're due for one of worst seasons in awhile..?

Time will tell, but I went to preseason trainings and have to admit was worried at what I saw. Too many Skill errors and a lack of leadership. Sounds familiar right. I also didn't like the fact that some first year players were standing out more than their more seasoned team mates... Not a bad sign you might think, but I had a feeling it was b/c our remaining regular guys maybe just weren't that good. I want to be positive, but I'm more realistic as I get older, and I have v low expectations for this year. I fear that Bucks will be surprised at how much other teams have progressed, and have far we have gone backwards. I'm still excited by the future and a lot of the players that we've recruited over the past 3 years, but rebuilds take time, and you need to have 22 v good, AFL ready players on the field every week to be competitive. & We're still a fair way off that.

Only when they are multiplied or divided not when they are added.

And very clever! The season proper is gunna be a cracker me thinks!

Going to be a real contest for "whipping boy". Though I think bucks might just beat out Blair for the prize!

Hopefully I'm wrong, and after week 1, it's beams!
