If Fatboy wanted to talk politics in VPT there would not have been any problem. If he wants to do it in GD as a way of slagging off his perceived opponents, then it's just off topic and abusive.
There's no shortage of opinions on all sides of politics in here; if there was the forum wouldn't attract as much traffic and comment as it does.

I have spent time reading through the political debates on here, and found the differing opinions to be fascinating. But I do think that politics should stay within the walls of the VPT, and not in football thread... unless of course Gillard declines her hatred for Collingwood or any other politician that has a word on football, or has input on football related matters.
But if Fatboy feels he has to leave, then there is no real stopping him, we all have to adhere to the rules and I am sure others have been told off when they've breached said rules.
It's a shame, but best of luck away from Nicks, Fatboy.
