But Finch has gone out and exposed Smith to the moving new ball. I really think it's desirable at this level to play openers who can keep good bowling out. 2 an over for the first 10 would have been fine, here, if they kept their wickets intact.

However Warner is playing, you wouldn't call it "circumspectly". They have about 20 off his last five balls. 1/30 after 4.3 overs.

And they just go the Slog trying to win the Game Early is not a Smart Move.

They just need to play the Natural Way

This game is in Australia.

And that's just the way to lose, chasing a small to smallish total.

How did Oz get to #1 and this WC final ?

1/63 from 12.1. Warner 45 from 45. Smith batting like a future captain.

And because Warner was ball-watching when he hit it into the deep, Henry gets to ball at Clarke straight away. Not too professional, that.

Yes. Puzzles me that pros still do this.

Sky a ball and look at your batting partner. Not at the ball.

If it's dropped, it's a run. If not, your new batsman doesn't have to face.

Required run rate down to 1.92, now. They do have to sustain it for 23 overs, though. Wink

Clarke 50 not out from 58. Smith 37 from 55. 2/140.
