Quote: | A taste of senior football during the NAB Challenge meant Jordan De Goey knew exactly how to approach Thursday’s VFL practice match.
The 19-year-old was one of Collingwood’s best in its 118-point win over a Richmond side that was admittedly lacking in AFL experience.
But it was AFL experience that made all the difference for De Goey, who averaged 10.0 disposals and 2.0 tackles in his brief senior foray against Hawthorn and Carlton.
“My role was to play through the midfield, so I got good time in there, learned a lot of stuff and just got to work on some of the small things that I struggled with at the AFL level in the NAB Challenge,” De Goey toldcollingwoodfc.com.au after the match. |
I can tell the early Signs are good and more Experience and he should just keep getting better and better.
I reckon he should play RD 1 in the Seniors even IF it is as a Sub

Agree on this kid as his attiude, approach to learning the skills and the way even at 19yrs
can assess the game and make quick desicions makes him stand out
Even if not R1 if he continues in the vein he has displayed it wont be deep in season before
he plays for big side _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

Expect to see him play 15-20 games this year if he can stay fit and healthy, not fussed if he starts round 1 or a few games in.
I'm also expecting Broomy, Kennedy, Grundy, Freeman, Langdon, Williams, Seedsman, Fasolo, and Witts to play that 15-20 games and a couple like Moore and Maynard to play up to 10 games. Exciting times. |

I sense a disturbance in the force.
Could it be DTM has a new man crush? _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |

I am hoping that we make finals not only because i like them in finals but
to give any of current youngsters that get thru the rigours of the season and
play finals a taste of finals pressure--build a hunger in them _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |
