McKenzie kicks a goal for them, Moore's direct opponent.

Pick 8 down the drain...

132-14.

While the Tiges were light on for AFL talent the result does suggest our VFL side can be competitive.

Good to hear Broomy & Karnezis are up and about and that Witts had an influence.

Look forward to a few reports from people there to see if it confirms the MB snippets.

Thanks for the updates MB.

As long as we don't suffer to many injuries our VFL side might be the best Collingwood show in town this year.

He always offers great
insight into our VFL hitouts .

Have to disappoint you, thompsoc. I'm sitting this one out. There's a certain cricket match on that will have my attention this afternoon and evening. Sorry.

You'll have to make do with Dave for a report, plus maybe John Wren if he posts afterwards...

sorry but can't help you today. even though i was there i wasn't watching it.

ellis, collopy, monkhorst and wills sat out the first half. four man bench. moloney, still, blair sat out the second half meaning a five man bench.

lots of guys hungry for spots in round 1.

I was there...

Broomhead is classy
BenKen was busy
DoGoey is all class, looks more like a 2nd or 3rd year player
Witts looks more mature had a bit of impact at both ends
Karnezis is too good for the 2s
Abbott looked ok
Seedsman was thereabouts, ditto Dwyer, ditto Armstrong
Moore has talent, but is learning to play against men now
Marsh didn't really get near it

The guy that continues to impress me is Gault. Great hands and great shot for goal. Could be a great forward option or a run of the mill seconds player. I'm hoping for something closer to the first.

Well was great to see the Kids Dominate a game after watching our Pathetic Effort vs the Dogs.

My Thoughts:

De Goey against Showed why he is so Highly Rated. Did not get a Huge Amount of Touches 17. But got 6 Clearnces:thumbsu: He used the ball very very well. Loved a Goal he Kicked from a Clearnce. Made a Very Strong Case to play RD 1

Moore had a Solid game for his 1st Full Game back after Toe Injury. Played on McKenzie for most of the Time - Played FB. He beat McKenzie as he just punched the Ball away when it went his way. Also read’s the Ball well. His Punches where well Directed. 1 he reached over 2 Guys and Punched the ball straight to a Collingwood Player. Exciting to see how he goes after more games under his belt. Ball did not get Kicked his way Much

Broomhead was great to see how much he got the Footy. Uses is it with Class. IF he can do that at AFL Level. He be a Massive Help

Armstrong was named in Best but I thought he was Ordinary

Kennedy was very Busy and got lot of the Hard-Ball

Witts was good and hopefully he can Help Grundy in RD 1. Witts took some strong Mark up forward

Karnezis had good 1st Half sadly went missing in 2nd Half

Abbott had some nice moment. Kicked some Lovely Goals and Used the Ball Well

Good to See Grundy Sitting with Peter Moore
