I can't see why De Goey would be out, unless the club thinks he needs a rest.

My changes would be:

In: White, Frost, Adams, Elliott, Sidebottom, Freeman
Out: Cox, Dwyer, Karnezis, Oxley, Thomas, Ramsay (unlucky)

Opinion only but i thought De Goey tired
a little toward end of Bendigo game
Thats nothing negative about his play
just the adjustment all new kids will
encounter---he will be fine when he
and other young, uns adapt
Reid -Witts another hit out against
Tigers 27th

The injuries last year were bad ,horrid in fact but out of the disaster came pockets of light
Due to depleted reserves they threw Gault and Ramsay into the final games and it looks
like paying off
Early doors yet but good signs --so amongst all the gloom and doom sunshine eh!!

I'm thinking a little differently to others, I actually think De Goey out means barring in injury he will debut in round one. I reckon they're giving him the week off to make sure he's cherry ripe for Round 1. We already know he can handle the pace and doesn't have any issues mixing it with more experienced players. It's a long year so nothing wrong with sitting him out of a game that means nothing.
