That is great news for those who eat and drink at the footy. I generally BYO and if I do buy food it's usually just hot chips. I don't know how people can afford to feed themselves and families week in week out as the prices are pretty hefty. Maybe the afl are finally listening to the fans...

On the radio the language used was that the catering service who proves the food & beverage will "subsidize" the reduction in costs. Nearly spat out my coffee (nearly because I didn't have a coffee at the time)

How about the catering services are no longer going to rip off the consumer as much as they had been. Rolling Eyes

I'm still gunna bring my salad rolls & fruit but line up to get a really expensive coffee.

But a step in the right direction.

3 dollars for a bottle of water. When are consumers going to wake up that this is a rort of the highest order. I can freely buy the same thing in Thailand for around 20 cents and that is about anywhere. Melbourne has one of the best tap waters in the world. Why make millionaires even richer. And beer drinkers will be in for an increase. Their largesse is laughable.

The first step to stopping all outside food and drink being admitted into the stadium.
